Stop Drifting. Start Choosing.
Your head is full of thoughts that go nowhere. You know something needs to change. You just can’t quite name what, or where to start. That’s usually where we begin.
I work with professionals navigating a career transition, people who’ve built a successful life that no longer feels quite like theirs, and expats in Amsterdam and across Europe trying to find their footing after a big move.
Most people who come to me think their problem is work. Or a decision they can’t make. Or not knowing what they want.
And sometimes it is. But usually, when we slow down and look deeply, it’s something underneath: a gap between who they are and how they’re actually living.
They’ve been moving forward, taking jobs, making choices, building a life, without really stopping to ask whether any of it was what they actually wanted. Not out of anything they did wrong. Just because no one ever really showed them how to do that.
That’s what coaching is for.
Together, we untangle what’s actually going on. Not by me telling you what to do, but by asking better questions until you can see it yourself. And once you can see it clearly, the path forward becomes less confusing, your choices start feeling more like yours, and you begin moving with intention rather than just momentum.
It is a process. It takes honesty. And it works.
This is mindset and life coaching, based in Amsterdam, offered online and in person, in English and Portuguese.

I spent over a decade in corporate, working across multiple countries and industries. The kind of career that looked very clear from the outside.
At some point I realised I’d been building it on autopilot. Not because I was unhappy. I was actually good at it and made it all the way to director. But I’d never really stopped to ask myself what I actually wanted. I was reacting, not choosing.
Figuring that out changed how I work, how I live, and eventually what I do for a living.
I’ve been based in Amsterdam for several years now, and I coach in English and Portuguese. Mostly people navigating the particular disorientation that comes with expat life, a significant career change, or simply the feeling that somewhere along the way, they stopped recognising themselves in their own life.
What I bring is not a method or a framework. It’s the ability to sit with you in the confusion, ask the right questions, and help you find your own clarity. Because I’ve had to find mine too.
If you’re looking for an English-speaking life or mindset coach in Amsterdam or elsewhere in Europe, whether in person or online, you’re in the right place.

“Through his thoughtful questions and presence, I gained more clarity on what I wanted going forward and found the courage to take steps towards it. Since then, I’ve made both a career change and moved to Barcelona. And I feel much more aligned with my values and who I truly am.”

“Leo’s approach is serene, compassionate and authentic. It feels safe to open up and share. Our conversations help me to reconnect with myself and create space for a more positive mindset. And he is practical too, supporting me on how to act and move forward with intention.”

“I reached out to Leo in a period of no clarity and deep demotivation. I didn’t want to think I was in burnout, but he helped me become aware of it, and that awareness was the real turning point. With his guidance, I understood the causes and found concrete steps to move forward.”
If you’re not sure whether coaching is for you, that’s a completely normal place to start. The free call is a conversation, not a commitment. We talk, you get a feel for how I work, and you decide from there.
Yes. This is actually one of the most common reasons people come to me.
Not knowing what you want isn’t a problem to fix before you start coaching. It’s usually what we work on together. Most people who say they have no idea actually have more clarity than they think. It’s just buried under a lot of noise, other people’s expectations, and years of not really asking the question.
By the end of the first session most people have at least a clearer sense of what’s actually going on. It doesn’t all fall into place at once, but it starts to.
Both are valuable. They just do different things.
Therapy focuses on healing. It’s designed for people dealing with mental health conditions, trauma, or emotional wounds that need clinical support. Therapists are licensed professionals trained to diagnose and treat.
Coaching focuses on moving forward. It’s for people who are generally stable but feel stuck, unclear, or ready for something different. We’re not looking at what happened to you. We’re looking at where you are now and what you actually want from here.
Some people work with both at the same time. A therapist to heal, a coach to help them figure out what comes next. That combination can work really well.
Not sure which one you need? Book a free call and I’ll give you an honest answer, even if that answer is that coaching isn’t the right fit right now.
Honestly, you won’t know for certain until you try. But there are a few things that make it more likely to work.
The first is honesty. Coaching only goes as deep as you’re willing to be real. If you’re holding back or telling yourself a story that isn’t quite true, we’ll stay on the surface.
The second is a genuine desire for something to change. Not just discomfort with where you are, but an actual willingness to do something about it. Those two things sound similar but they’re not.
If both of those are true, coaching tends to work. And if you’re not sure, the free call is a good place to find out. We can talk honestly about whether this is the right fit before you commit to anything.
Yes. Completely free, no strings attached.
It’s 45 minutes on Zoom. We talk about what’s going on for you, whether coaching makes sense, and how I work. You’ll get honest feedback, including if I think coaching is or isn’t the right fit right now.
If it feels right at the end, we talk about next steps. If it doesn’t, we leave it there. No pressure either way.
